Library Rules

The school has three libraries Junior, Middle and Senior catering to all age groups of the school. All the three libraries are fully automated and well stocked with latest books, educational CD’S , Audio Visual Aids, periodicals, latest magazines and daily newspapers.

At the beginning of the academic session each student is issued one Library Ticket which in non-transferable. The library books and other other reading material can be borrowed only on these library tickets.

The libraries are open to all bonafide students of the school, teachers and other staff members.

To promote reading habits in children there are class libraries for Junior sections, Nursery to Class-II. The teachers help the students to read the storybooks and exchange these books among themselves in the classroom itself.

All classes are provided with at least one Library period per week. Students have to observe the following library rules:

  1. At the beginning of the session each student is issued one borrower ticket which is non-transferable.
  2. Students from classes III to VIII are allowed to borrow one Library book, whereas senior classes IX-XII are issued two books per week.
  3. Reference books, Educational CD’s and magazines are also issued to the students during weekends for two days.
  4. If the books are returned late without a valid reason, the borrowing facility is withdrawn for two weeks.
  5. Books marked, disfigured, damaged or lost will have to be replaced or paid for by the borrower.
  6. Students are allowed to borrow library books only on their own library tickets.
  7. The libraries have an open shelf system and students must maintain order and organization in the different shelves. They must put the books on the tables after consultation and not just anywhere on the shelves.
  8. Personal books, water bottles, bags and mobile phones are prohibited inside the library.
  9. Everyone must maintain silence in the library.
